Things to consider when planning your travel itinerary
Australia is a huge country and there is so much to see and do. KEA recommends our clients plan to drive a maximum of 150 kilometres per day – this allows you to cover a reasonable distance, but still have plenty of time to enjoy Australia instead of spending all day driving!

If you don’t have much time and would like to see a lot of places, consider flying between the state capitals. KEA has 4 depots in Australia and it is often easier to drop off a campervan and fly to your next destination in a day rather than drive for a week to get there.

To make the most of your trip, we encourage all campervan travellers to include a REST DAY every few days in your itinerary, to take a break from travelling and ensure you have time to really experience Australia.

We also recommend you visit our Planning Your Trip page for links to touring routes, tourism organizations and other resources that will help you plan your trip.
